Chapter 20

Keith

The lights were on when I returned home. Zane had taken the night shift. I wanted to tell him all about the fun Quinn, and I had but thought better of it. Maybe he would find out on his own when she got bored. I wanted nothing more than a shower and to sleep in an actual bed. Back at the park, Quinn at least had a beanbag couch to sleep on. When we took the midnight shift, we only had a lumpy recliner.

I entered the house with a smile on my face. Taven was lying on the couch in his boxers, a bowl in his lap, playing video games. “I gotta go,” he said into his headset. After a moment, he set the controller down and tossed the headset on the coffee table. “What’s that shit-eating grin for?”

I hung my keys up and pulled my hoodie off. “I fucked the hell out of Quinn this morning.”

Taven sat up, setting the bowl next to the controller. “Don’t tell me you fucking raped her, man; please don’t fucking tell me that.”

I cringed. “She fucking asked for it.” I stopped when I realized how rapey that sounded. “I mean, she literally asked for it. I may have fingered her without getting consent first, but when I pulled away, she asked me if that was it.” This explanation wasn’t going the way I had hoped. “She said she was bored, that there wasn’t anything else to do, so I put that pussy in a fucking coma.”

I took a seat on the couch and glared at him. “I can’t believe you would think that I would rape her. I might be a killer and a thug, but I’m not a rapist. Hurting kids and raping women is a line I will never fucking cross.”

Bending close, Taven caressed my cheek. “I know you’re not. It’s just weird. We kept her locked up for four days, and she saw us disembowel a cop right in front of her. Why would she want to fuck you?”

Shrugging, I leaned into him, laying my head against his arm. “Stockholm syndrome. It’s a real thing; women fall for their captors all the time.”

“Yeah, but it’s only been four days.”

“I don’t know. But if she wants to fuck, then why not? It could get her to like us again. Maybe even love us. If she loves us, we may not have to go to plan B. Maybe she’ll keep her mouth shut.”

He raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying what I was trying to sell.

“You’re telling me you don’t want to get your dick wet?”

He grinned. “I can get my dick wet right now.”

I shook my head. “No, the fuck you won’t. It’s my turn to top.” Scooting over, he pressed his lips to mine. I kissed him back for a bit before pushing him gently away. As much as I wanted to be balls deep in him, I still wanted to tell him what I had planned. “I want to fix up the gift shop.
